Jennifer Carey-Prescott

Jennifer Carey-Prescott is a nationally board-certified acupuncturist and graduate of the respected Florida Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is one of only a few American acupuncturists to attend an advanced clinical internship program at Zhejiang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Hang Zhou China. Through this internship, she received intensive practical application study of needling techniques as well as Chinese herbal protocol from some of China's most prestigious doctors.

As a primary care physician in Florida, Jennifer has a strong interest in women's health issues. She creates a personal rapport with each patient, spending time to ensure that her individualized treatment strategy offers the highest level of care. Striving to continuously expand her healing knowledge and techniques, she consistently researches the most current TCM approaches to a variety of illnesses. She believes that Traditional Chinese Medicine is complementary medicine that works very effectively with western medicine and encourages her patients to have their MDs become part of the treatment dialogue. Utilizing all of the modalities at her disposal, Jennifer's goal is long-term wellness and balance for each and every patient.

St. Petersburg Florida has been the home to her practice for the past sixteen years. The cumulative time concentrated in women's health combined with the personal experience she gained planning for, carrying and home-birthing her children has provided her with an abundance of first-hand knowledge to guide women through all of life's transitions from first menses to last and beyond. In 2011 she combined these skills and those of her very talented associates to open Thank You Mama - Family Wellness Center.
